No doubt it has scarred our friendship. No doubt i will let time heal its wounds.

Something to ponder... "respect", "limits" are words that require certain level of usage.

When someone uses the word "respect"... did u respect me at the 1st place so that i can respect you? To think you questioned me when i had been declining all along politely. I didnt get the respect i deserved didnt i?

Hypothetically:
It's like u ask me to try a super bitter/sour syrup and i declined it countless times politely. However, you did not heed my suggestions/views/opinions with regards to this and then you force it down my throat. After forcing, i went berserk and retaliated. Surprisingly, you weren't happy with regards to my reactions. How do you justify this?

This syrup isnt beneficial at all to one's health, but is more of an issue of interested or not.

I don't wish to spell out the details, but understand my point of view before one throws any opinion on the person who went berserk (verbally). Its disappointing on how people don't respect my decision and still went forward with their own, and now questioning me about "respect", whats worst, a person who knows you for a considerable long time. Funny isn't it?

Constantly, as usual when i react or make a decision, i will always conduct self-reflection as always to justify my actions. I seldom get pissed, but sometimes when u r being forced a syrup u dun like at all, one should stand up for their rights. Im used to being straightforward, if one can't accept such criticisms, then at the 1st place don't commit such silly things that result into this when i already cautioned and pre-warned NOT to do it.

No matter how much you try to clarify, ur explanations doesnt seem to justify your actions and the messages u put across to me, online, face-to-face, seriously don't constitute to a "misunderstanding" to what i perceived as claimed. Question yourself the real agenda when you send those non-verbal cues and verbal conversations with regards that act you committed that u all so deny that it was unintentional... unknowingly to you... but others will feel the same as i do. Just conduct a survey and research with regards to this, and in light of all these, find your answer.

Don't get me wrong, i would want this friendship to patch up, its just that i dun like going round telling people about this, thus this avenue. It's just that, don't question a person until you question yourself 1st.

What you are doing now is just analysing the issue on the surface, but did u even bother to take it to another level and analyse the root of the problem? I expect a certain level of maturity, maybe i've set my expectations too high a lil. Like majority of my frens hu encountered such issues wld have told me, "Y bother abt such ppl if they cant change n dun see it?" but i always think otherwise. Sometimes, i think "y bother?" is the best approach afterall.

I used to teach my recruits this, "whenever something goes wrong, question yourself 1st and do a self-analysis, rather than blaming or questioning your buddies and bunkmates." and "when a problem occurs, ask yourself who created the problem and who allowed it to happen?" May sound corny? yea, i teach them based on how i view policies in life.

It's not so much of inferiority complex to the extent of being sleep deprived or some eating disorder.

It's how i view myself. Self-worth and usefulness in the academic field. Then when it comes to project groupings with any quantitative based modules, i tend to hide myself at the corner.
Reason being, I'm a liability, unable to contribute anything substantial.
The only period i feel good was during all my marketing projects from last sem till this sem (so far) as in the way i can present with confidence and able to answer any single doubt or question raised during my presentations, last of all, at least i know what im doing. When it comes to number based... im just lost for words.

Yes, I'm not exactly proud of my results of anything quantitative based in Uni, for instance, my Finance quiz. I totally screwed it up. Although its a mere 5% of the total grade, scoring one of the lowest in class was in fact rather demoralising. It's just disappointing. 1st thing on my mind was labeling myself stupid. (you know? that feeling of having this 6 alphabets stuck on your forehead?) Yes, mainly my interest is in marketing bla bla bla... scored an A for my exams bla bla bla while my quantitative modules are getting Cs, thus, specialisation chosen for myself is marketing. Inevitable? That seemed to be the case on how i entered uni with my poly grades. Those with distinctions and As are from the marketing field and other noob modules... econs really screwed my life back then. Till today, i seriously hate anything involving mathematics.

I wouldn't point fingers that "Finance or anything to do with numbers is just not my cup of tea". Yes, i may just say that to make myself feel better for that split second while people draw conclusions that my forte lies in the field of marketing. Mental block do really occur when i study anything related to numbers, accounting, economics, finance, statistics etc. But does it really mean a person can't excel in all fields? Personally, i think it all boils down to my responsibility to brush up. The thing is, i really did try.

I seriously didnt sign up for this in Uni.
If there was a degree on "Marketing Management", "Brand Management", "Integrated Marketing Communications" or even Promotional Management... I might have signed up for it. However, 3 local universities don't offer such programmes. Knowing the fact that i hate so many modules in my current degree programme, i really wonder was it really wise for me to stay in s'pore to pursue this paper?
